I’ve been going to Synaptic Rehab for the last 8 months. There are not enough kind words to describe just how good this facility is. The staff is experienced, knowledgeable and friendly. I have made much progress as they have treated me for my Parkinson’s disease. There is a depth of caring that must be experienced to be believed. Well done Synaptic Rehab. I’ve been working with my physical therapist Summer for the past three months and I couldn’t be more impressed with the results. She strikes the perfect balance between encouragement and caution—always pushing me to my limits while making sure I stay within my safe zone. Her sessions are challenging but incredibly rewarding, and she tailors each one to meet my specific needs and goals. Since starting with her, I’ve noticed a real improvement in my endurance and balance, as well as a boost in my overall confidence. A review from my 92 year  old father, Richard Hennessy: In my 92 years of my life, I have never received the at home care that I have received from my PT, Summer. She came to my house, surveyed the problems I had and set up a program that I needed and effectively implemented it. Summer is a young, very bright, gracious, kind and considerate individual. She can also be stern in her application of the exercises needed and has resulted in my general improvement. She does what she has to do with a very nice smile. When I first was treated, I was completely bedridden. With the excellent physical therapy I was given  3 times/week by Mary Beth,  I came to trust her and became confident that  I would not be confined to a wheelchair and would actually walk again.  I moved to a walker. Then, to a cane and now can walk short distances without a cane. She taught me to climb stairs, enter/exit a car and regain my life outside my home. I highly recommend Synaptic Rehabilitation’s In-Home Physical Therapy. My husband had been seeing an offsite physical therapist for years to manage his Parkinson’s, but the results and overall experience with Synaptic’s in-home services have been unmatched. After just one month of sessions, twice a week, I’ve already noticed improvements in his movement. My husband John is currently receiving therapy with Melissa.He made this choice after seeing the great improvement I made with my back problems while having Melissa as a therapist. My children were amazed when I was able to take a train trip to Washington DC and with the aid of my walker, and spend four hours enjoying the museum. "Mom was going up ramps faster than us" they said, "thank Melissa for us." I do want to thank Melissa for her knowledge, her care, her concern and her exuberant personality. She made sessions so much easier for me as I have for many years been reluctant to choose therapy.And, it made an easy choice for my husband to make when he too needed home therapy. Jessica has been the best therapist my Mother has had. My mother was hospitalized and in bed for over a week post mini stroke and heart problems. She was no longer able to get up and walk, among other physically impairing problems such as dementia.  Thanks to Jessica working so patiently and hard with Mom, she has improved so very much. She is now able to walk with her walker, sit, stand, and get in and out of bed. It's amazing. She improved Moms endurance and is able to handle patiently Moms struggle with. Dementia. Mom is not easy to work with. However, Jessica has managed through it all. I can not thank her enough for her dedication.
